Remind
Remind is a great way to communicate with both students and parents. It can send out messages to each student who accesses the class code, and it can send out reminders. It is similar to texting, but it is more useful because it is not the teacher's personal phone number. It has a page where parents can look at to see what the class has been up to. It is very easy to use this communication tool. Just go to to https://www.remind.com/ and sign up. To guide parents and students to join the class on remind, I can send them an email as well as a paper, giving them simple directions to get connected to the remind class for a phone and email.
Remind fits well with Domain 3A, communicating with students. This component focuses on the teacher communicating with the student clearly. Using remind can help remind students, as well as parents, to keep them up to date. It ties right into this component because it is important to have clear directions with students. Sending reminders to them will help clarify misunderstood information. |

I liked using this tech tool, it was really cool how it can be used for both email and phone. Something that I would do differently would be trying to put put links or documents in the messages. This ties into my educational psychology class. We learned about how caring is very important for a teacher to have for their students. By keeping them updated and making sure they are on the right page, it shows they deeply care.
