4F: Showing Professionalism
This component focuses on showing professionalism while teaching. Teaching a class, a teacher must know the rules and follow them. They should advocate for their students, obey district rules, and keep standards of decision making. A teacher's role is to be there for the students, so it is important to help them and be a voice for them.
It is important because it shows trust, honesty, integrity, and various traits a teacher wants to be described as. By presenting oneself with these traits, those in the district will show more respect. Showing professionalism is very important while teaching and out of the community. Knowing what the students need, and understanding their interactions, will impact their learning in a positive way.
