Learning Management Systems: Schoology
Schoology is a technology tool that helps teachers organize their online content on a class website. It allows individuals to create pages of content, discussion prompts, polls, quizzes/tests, assignments, pictures, and other resources. Teachers can invite students and other people (including parents) to join the class, they can also keep track of grades, adjusting it when necessary. It also can keep track of attendance. The teacher can set due dates for each assignment or quiz/test, so when it comes time when the assignment is due, the teacher can look at the results and it will be put in the grade book. This is a form of formative assessment because it can be used throughout the semester/year.
Schoology fits into danielson's framework of teaching because it is a tool which keeps records, it keeps to standards and criteria, and it helps in future planning. With the assignments, teachers can assess the students on how well they know information. Small quizzes or polls can be created to determine this.

Schoology reminds me of blackboard, a technology tool teachers in the past have used with me. I found it interesting to be on the other side of the desk; getting to create assignments, discussion prompts, and quizzes. Instead of schoology, I may want to try using blackboard because I am familiar with it, but I did like using this website. In my writing class, we even use blackboard to do assignments, so it is cool to see how my professor uses this tech tool. In the future, I hope to use this tool, or a similar tool to organize my material.
